Tiiny Host allows you to add custom domains to your account and host your projects under your own domain names.

Once you have added a custom domain, you can either host a project under the domain or under subdomains.

This means your project can go from tiiny-host-example.tiiny.site to:

www.customdomain.com or
example.customdomain.com

1. Adding a custom domain you already own

If you have already purchased a custom domain from a provider other than Tiiny Host, please follow the steps below.

Go to your Tiiny Host dashboard on https://tiiny.host/manage and scroll to the Custom Domain section at the bottom. Then click on the 'Add new' button.
On the custom domain popup, insert the name of your custom domain. Please note: If you want to host your Tiiny Host project under a subdomain, please click on the subdomain checkbox below the domain input. You can read more about subdomains here.
On the next page, you will be asked if you own the custom domain. Click yes.
You will now be asked if you want to update your

Why has my project been deleted?

Problem:

My site/project/link has been deleted and I only see a 404 page. I uploaded it earlier and now it's no longer online.

Explanation:

Link Preview Mode - We're unable to host some content on our free plan and so we display it in a "Link preview" instead. This allows your to view what the content would look like if you were on a paid plan but is not an active online link. Links in Preview Mode are only available for 1 hour then taken down.

Inactive account - We require free users to login at least once every three months. If they do not log in reguarly we may terminate the account and associates links/projects.

If you are a paid user and your link has been deleted, please contact our support team.

We also maintain back-ups of content we deleted so can restore a link if needed, please contact support if you need this.

Why is my project shown as a preview?

Accepted Answer

When your file is shown in preview mode, this means that it has been uploaded to Tiiny Host and is temporarily available as a link. Preview websites are taken down within 1 hour, unless you decide to upgrade.

There are multiple reasons why your file might be shown in preview mode.

Your file size is above your plan's limit. Free accounts get a maximum of 3mb per project, and a maximum of 0.5MB for PDFs.
You are hosting a PHP site. PHP projects are only available on our paid plans.
Your file's content can't be hosted on the free plan. Tiiny Host limits certain types of files and their contents. You can read more about it here.

I'm Unable to Login

Can't Log In? Try These Quick Fixes

If you're having trouble logging in, the issue is often caused by something on your network blocking our service — typically your ISP, antivirus software, or corporate firewall. Try the steps below in order.

1. Check our health check endpoint

Open this link in your browser: https://api.tiiny.host/healthcheck

If the page loads, our service is reachable from your network — skip to step 3
If it fails to load, times out, or shows a connection error, your network is blocking us — continue with step 2

2. Test on your phone using mobile data

The fastest way to confirm a network block is to take your Wi-Fi out of the picture.

Turn off Wi-Fi on your phone
Make sure you're connected to mobile data (4G/5G)
Try logging in

If login works on mobile data but not on Wi-Fi, your network is blocking us. Continue to the next steps.

3. Add an antivirus exception

Some antivirus programs (like Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, or Bitdefender) block login traffic by mistake.

Open your antivirus settings
Add our website/app to the list of trusted sites or exceptions
Temporarily disable the antivirus as a quick test — if login works, an exception is the fix

4. Try a VPN

If you're on a corporate or restricted network, a VPN routes your traffic around the block.

Connect to any reputable VPN
Try logging in again
