What to do if your payment fails

If your bank is declining your card when you upgrade, you can try the PayPal option on the payment screen instead.

Try PayPal instead

Go through the upgrade flow as normal and click the PayPal tab on the payment screen.

Already a customer and your renewal failed?

Please don't start a new subscription with a different payment method. Your old subscription keeps trying to take payment, so you could end up paying twice. Update your card instead (steps below), or email support@tiiny.host and we'll help you switch.

What happens when a renewal fails

We retry the payment several times over the following days. Your account and sites stay live throughout, nothing changes on the first failure.
If every retry fails, the account is eventually closed and projects are removed.

How to stop that happening

Update your card any time during the retry window and the next attempt goes through normally. Nothing is lost.

  1. Click the plan-name button in the top right.
  2. Select Manage account.
  3. Click Manage billing and update your card.

Full steps: How to update your payment card and billing details.

If you paid with PayPal, UPI or Paytm, email support@tiiny.host instead and we'll help you update your payment details.

Common reasons a card gets declined

  • Expired card
  • Insufficient funds
  • Your bank blocking an international or online payment
  • A card that doesn't support recurring payments

If your account has already closed

Email support@tiiny.host with your account email. We keep backups for 60 days and can usually restore projects for accounts that were on a paid plan.
