How can I transfer my domain out of Tiiny Host?
If you're moving your domain to a new registrar, you'll need an EPP code (also called an Auth Code or Authorization Code) to authorise the transfer. This is a security measure that confirms you own the domain and have approved the move.
What Is an EPP Code?
An EPP code is a unique string of characters tied to your domain. The receiving registrar will ask you for this code before they can complete the transfer. Without it, the transfer cannot proceed.
What You'll Need
Before requesting your EPP code, make sure you have the following to hand:
- The full domain name you wish to transfer (e.g.
yourdomain.com) - Access to the email address associated with the domain's registrant contact
- Confirmation that your domain is more than 60 days old (domains are typically locked for 60 days after registration or a previous transfer).
How to Request Your EPP Code
To receive your EPP code, please fill in our request form:
Once submitted, you can expect to receive your code within 24 to 72 hours. It will be sent to the registrant email address on file for the domain.
After You Receive Your Code
Once you have your EPP code:
- Log in to your new registrar and begin the domain transfer process.
- Enter the EPP code when prompted.
- Approve the transfer via the confirmation email sent to your registrant address.
- Allow up to 7 days for the transfer to complete, as required by ICANN policy.
