Stop visitors downloading or printing your PDF

If you're sharing a PDF you'd rather people read but not keep, you can switch off downloading and printing.
Available on the Solo plan and above.

When you upload

1. Log in and drag your PDF onto the upload area.
2. Scroll to Access settings and switch on Disable PDF Downloads.
3. Click Publish.

On a PDF that's already live

No need to re-upload.

1. Click the Update icon next to the project.
2. Select Customize project.
3. Open Access settings and switch on Disable PDF Downloads.
4. Click Publish.

What this does and doesn't do

It removes the download and print controls, which stops the large majority of visitors saving a copy. It isn't encryption, and someone determined enough could still capture the content from their screen. For genuinely sensitive material, combine it with password protection.
