How to password protect a PDF

You don't need Acrobat or any other software. Upload the PDF, set a password, and share the link — anyone opening it sees a password screen first.

Available on Solo and above.

  1. Go to tiiny.host and log in.
  2. Drag your PDF onto the upload area.
  3. Choose a link name — this becomes your web address.
  4. Open the Access Gate dropdown and choose Password protected.
  5. Type the password you want to use.
  6. Click Publish.

Share the link and the password separately, ideally by different means, so one intercepted message doesn't give away both.
