How to restore a previous version of your project
Uploaded something that broke your site? Overwrote a file you actually wanted to keep?
Every time you upload to a project, we save what was there before as a version. You can open your version history and switch back to any of them, no need to find your old files or re-upload anything.
See your versions
- Go to tiiny.host/manage
- Click the three-dot menu next to your project
- Click Versions
Each version shows the date and time it was created. The one currently live is labelled Active.
Go back to an earlier version
- Open Versions
- Select the version you want
- Click Rollback to selected version
That version goes live straight away.
Changed your mind? That's fine
Rolling back doesn't delete anything still in your version history. If you preferred the newer version after all, roll forward to it the same way.
Common questions
Will my link or QR code change?
No. Your link name, QR code and custom domain all stay exactly the same.
When does a new version get saved?
Any time you upload to the project. Creating, updating or replacing a file all save a new version.
Does a rollback use up one of my daily uploads?
No. Switching between versions doesn't count towards your daily upload limit. See tiiny.host/pricing for current limits by plan.
Why can't I see any versions on my older project?
Version history was released in September 2026. Anything uploaded before then wasn't saved as a version, so your history starts with your next upload.
I'm on the free plan. Can I use this?
Version history is available on Tiny and above. You'd need to upgrade to use it.
