How to delete a project

Deleting removes the project from your dashboard. It then stays in your Trash for three days, and you can restore it yourself in that time. After three days it's removed for good.


After 3 days a deleted project can't be restored from your dashboard. Download anything you want to keep first.


How to delete a project


  1. Go to your dashboard at tiiny.host/manage.
  2. Find the project and click the 3-dot-menu under Actions.
  3. Click the bin icon.The bin icon in the project's three-dot menu


Restore a deleted project


  1. Go to your dashboard at tiiny.host/manage.
  2. Open the trash icon list.
  3. Find the project. It shows how many days it has left. Click the Restore icon.


Restoring needs a free slot on your plan. If you're already at your project limit, you'll be asked to upgrade first.


Want it gone straight away instead of waiting 3 days? Click the trash icon to permanently delete. That can't be undone.


Good to know


  • Don't reuse the link name while it's in the Trash. If you publish a new project with the same link name, it replaces the deleted one for good and you won't be able to restore it.
  • Nobody else can take the link name while your project is in the Trash.
  • Projects in the Trash don't count towards your project limit.
  • Some projects skip the Trash and are deleted straight away, with no restore from your dashboard: projects on a tiiny.io link, app projects (Python, PHP, Node.js and React), and very large uploads sent directly to our storage (including Tiiny Transfer links).


Deleted it more than 3 days ago?


If it's been longer than 3 days, we may still be able to help. We keep backups for 60 days after deletion.

  • On a paid plan: Email support@tiiny.host as soon as you can with your account email and the link name. We can usually restore it.
  • On the free plan: Restoring is a paid-plan feature, so we can't do it while your account is free. Upgrade within the 60 days and get in touch, and we can restore it for you.


Want to take it offline temporarily instead?


Archiving unpublishes a project without deleting it, and stops it counting toward your project limit. Free accounts can archive up to 3 projects. Paid plans can archive as many as they like.
