How to publish an app built with an AI tool
AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Bolt and Replit are good at generating a site or app and less good at getting it online. Once you have the files, publishing takes about a minute.
Publish straight from your AI chat
If your AI tool supports MCP connectors, such as Claude or Cursor, you can publish without downloading anything. Connect the Tiiny Host server once, then ask your assistant to publish.
See How to connect Tiiny Host to Claude with MCP. The steps are written for Claude, and the last section covers other tools.
Otherwise, upload your files
- Export or download your project from your AI tool.
- Find the build output, which is the folder containing
index.html. - Zip that folder's contents.
- Drag the zip onto the upload area at tiiny.host.
- Choose a link name and click Publish.
If your tool gave you a single page, save it as index.html and upload that.
Or build it on Tiiny Host instead
If you haven't built anything yet, or you'd rather start from a description, Create with AI generates a project for you and publishes it in the same place.
Available on every plan, including free.
It works on my computer but not once published
Usually one of two things:
- It needs a backend: We host static files only. Anything that needs a server, database or server-side code won't run. See Databases and Tiiny Host.
- The zip structure is wrong:
index.htmlneeds to be at the top level of the zip, not inside another folder.
If styling or images are missing, run Analyze Site: go to tiiny.host/manage, click the three-dot menu on your project, then click Analyze Site.
My project shows as a preview
That's a plan limit, not a problem with your files. On the free plan each project can be up to 3 MB. See Why is my project showing as a preview?
