# Stop visitors downloading or printing your PDF

If you're sharing a PDF you'd rather people read but not keep, you can switch off downloading and printing.

| Available on Solo and above.

### When you upload

1. [__Log in__](https://tiiny.host/login) and drag your PDF onto the upload area.

3. Click **Publish**.

### On a PDF that's already live

No need to re-upload.
1. Click the **Update** icon next to the project.
2. Select **Customize project**.

4. Click **Publish**.

### What this does and doesn't do

It removes the download and print controls, which stops the large majority of visitors saving a copy. It isn't encryption, and someone determined enough could still capture the content from their screen. or genuinely sensitive material, combine it with [password protection](https://helpdesk.tiiny.host/en/article/how-to-password-protect-your-project-1kascwp/).
