# I've paid but my account still shows as Free

Almost always the payment worked fine. It's attached to a different email address than the one you're logged in with. Work through these in order.

### Check the email on your receipt

Find the receipt in your inbox and look at which address it was sent to. 
That address is your paid account — log in with it and your plan will be there.

###### Can't find a receipt?

Check spam and junk, and any other email accounts you might have used — work, personal, an old one. 
Receipts go wherever the payment form said to send them, which isn't always where you'd expect.

### Did you pay with PayPal?

PayPal passes across the email registered with PayPal, which is often not the address you'd normally use. Try logging in with your PayPal address.
