# How to share a presentation online

Sharing a presentation as a link means your audience sees it straight away in their browser. Nothing to download, no attachment bouncing off someone's email limits, and you can update it later without sending a new link.

# **Upload your presentation**
1. Go to your dashboard and drag your file onto the upload area.
2. Choose a link name. This becomes your web address.
3. Click **Publish**.
Your presentation is live. Copy the link and share it.

### Check your file size first
Presentations are often larger than people expect, especially with images or embedded video.
Free accounts are limited to **3 MB per project**. If your deck is bigger, it'll publish as a temporary preview link that comes down after an hour.
Paid plans raise the limit substantially — see [__our plans__](https://tiiny.host/pricing).
If your file is close to the limit, exporting at a lower image quality usually brings it well under.

### Keep it private
If your deck isn't for everyone, you can put a password in front of it, or hide it from search engines so it only reaches people you send the link to.
Both are set from the **Access settings** dropdown when you upload. See [How to password protect your project](https://helpdesk.tiiny.host/en/article/how-to-password-protect-your-project-1kascwp/). Available on the Solo plan and above.

### Update it without changing the link
Uploaded a new version? Click **Update** on the project and upload the new file.
Your link stays exactly the same, so anyone you've already shared it with sees the latest version automatically.

### See who's viewing it
Paid plans include analytics, so you can see how many people opened your presentation and when.
If you're sharing with several people or sending it to different places, you can create a separate [tracked link](https://helpdesk.tiiny.host/en/article/how-to-create-a-tracked-link-ohfac3/) for each one and see exactly which brought in visitors.

### Use your own web address
Instead of a tiiny.site link, you can publish your presentation to your own domain. See [connecting a custom domain](https://helpdesk.tiiny.host/en/article/adding-a-custom-domains-complete-guide-1sfq7hh/).
