# How to set a password for your account

You can add a password to an existing account from **Manage account**. It needs to be at least 8 characters with a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters.

1. In the top right of your dashboard, click your username or profile icon.
2. Select **Manage account** from the dropdown.

3. Click **Set password**.

4. Enter your password, then re-enter it in the **Confirm password** field.

5. Click **Next**. We'll email a verification code to the address on your account.
6. Enter the code.

7. Click **Update password**.
