# How to generate your API key

Tiiny Host allows you to generate an API key to use directly with our API or with integrations like Zapier.

| API access is available on Solo and above.

### What can I do with the API?

With your API key, you can do these without opening the dashboard:

* Upload a file or ZIP to create a new project
* Update an existing project with new files
* Delete a project
* Check your projects and how much of your quota you've used

### Can I use a custom domain with the API?

The API can't add, buy or set up a custom domain. You do that from your dashboard first. Once a domain has been added and validated there, you can upload projects to it through the API.

### How to generate your key

To generate your API key:
1. [Log in](https://tiiny.host/login) to your Tiiny Host account.
2. Navigate to your [Manage Account](https://tiiny.host/manage/account) section.
3. Click **Generate** in the **API Key** section.
