# How To Deploy Your Project From VS Code - Fast

# **Deploying from VS Code**
If you're building locally in VS Code, you can get your project online without leaving your workflow for long.

### Steps

1. Build your project if it needs building (npm run build or equivalent).
2. Find your output folder — usually build, dist or public. It's the one containing index.html.
3. Right-click it in VS Code's file explorer and reveal it in Finder or File Explorer.
4. Zip the folder's **contents**, so index.html sits at the top level of the zip.
5. Drag the zip onto the upload area at [__tiiny.host__](https://tiiny.host) and click **Publish**.

### Deploying without leaving your editor
On the **Solo plan and above** you can generate an API key and publish programmatically. See [Generating API Key](https://helpdesk.tiiny.host/en/article/generating-api-key-fh8i2w/) and our [__API docs__](https://api-docs.tiiny.host).

### Nothing loads after publishing?
Usually the zip structure. The zip should contain index.html at its top level, not a folder containing it.
