# How To Deploy a Website Using GitHub Pages

# **Deploying a website with GitHub Pages**

GitHub Pages hosts static sites free from a GitHub repository. It's a good option if your project already lives on GitHub and you're comfortable with repository settings.

### Steps

1. Push your site's files to a GitHub repository.
2. Go to the repository's **Settings → Pages**.
3. Under **Source**, pick the branch to deploy from (usually main) and the folder (usually /root or /docs).
4. Save. Your site publishes at yourusername.github.io/repository-name.

### Deploying from GitHub to Tiiny Host instead
If you'd rather not manage repository settings, you can connect your GitHub account here and deploy the same repository with a couple of clicks — pushes update the site automatically, and you can publish to your own domain.
